On the day of the league awards gala representatives from all the 32 clubs in Swedens top two tiers Allsvenskan and Superettan gathered for a few hours of meetings.
”To meet people working with the same things as you in other clubs strengthens the relationships between clubs. ”says Kaveh Sarvari, Head of Event Development at Swedish Elite Football and Project Manager for the Allsvenskan awards.

In Sweden Club leaders, marketers, financial managers, digital media staff, event people and SLOs all have meetings separately a few times a year but this time all of the scheduled their meeting to be held the very same day at the same place.

”This is a great way to gather and to close the season together. We have already received very positive feedback from the clubs. It strengthens the cooperation between the clubs and it is also developing the entire league”, Kaveh Sarvari says.

The clubs agrees in meeting other club representatives is a good idea.
”There is an exchange within the various business areas when you meet. We build relationships by sharing experiences. We have no secrets to each other as we are opponents only two days a year, for the rest of the time we cooperate”, says Urban Hagblom, Sports Manager at GIF Sundsvall.

”Basically I have only met the marketing directors from the other clubs earlier, but today there is also time to meet other club people, for example the SLOs. They are important to me as I also have a lot of dialogue with them during the season. This creates a deeper understanding of the other clubs and their situation and you can share ideas. Here today you get to know more about the whole club and league organization”, Lina Wettergren, Marketing director in Elfsborg say.

In total, 139 people from the 32 clubs participated during the daytime meetings and in the evening more people joined for the Allsvenskan awards to a total of 261 participants. Every club director, sports manager, financial manager, marketing manager, information manager, SLO, head coach, team captain as well as club legends and attended the gala along with the nominees for the awards.

”It is important to meet and together  be proud of Swedish elite football”, says Urban Hagblom.

”We are happy that we could share this moment with our clubs, our partners and all the invited guests.This strengthens our football family”, says Kaveh Sarvari.

The Allsvenskans Stora Pris at Quality Hotel Friends in Stockholm was broadcasted directly for 1.5 hours in Swedish television as the best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best forward, best coach was awarded along with the rookie of the year and MVP of the league.
