The tv rights deal between the Swedish Elite Football Association (SEF) and Discovery Networks Sweden for the 2020 season and onwards is one out of three finalists for the best tv rights deal in the 2017 TV Sports Awards in Monte Carlo this October.

”This shows that the tv rights of Allsvenskan is something to be proud of and us being a finalist for the TV Sports Awards is also something that improves the image of Allsvenskan” says Mats Enquist, CEO, Swedish Elite Football Asssociation.

The nominee for the TV Sports Awards comes out from the ambition that the digital platforms of both the Swedish Elite Football Association and Discovery Network Sweden will meet in the ambition to further enhance the supporters’ experience and to explore new business opportunities together.

”We are under the impression that new opportunities will arise from this deal. In this case, the agreement will not be the end of a rights procurement but rather the start of a brand new collaborative model for us” says Mats Enquist.

”We are happy that the groundbreaking agreement with SEF gives eco in Europe and that our largest sport gets the attention and recognition it deserves, ”says Emir Osmanbegovic, Director Sports, Discovery Networks Sweden and Eurosport Sweden.

The TV Sports Awards are organized in favor of Play of Change, the charity organization that works to develop children’s opportunities for sports all over the world.
