For the third consecutive year, the spectator numbers in Allsvenskan passed two million. In addition, the Superettan increased its total audience by more than 80,000 people. Historical figures for the two top tiers in Swedish football.

The 2017 Swedish champion is for the second consecutive year Malmö FF. Although the club putting Sweden on the map 2017 was for sure Östersunds FK with their international success. Östersund did not only qualify for Europa League in their first year in the tournament and also their second ever Allsvenskan season they also managed to make it through to the next stage.

Congratulations to Landskrona BoIS and IK Brage who both made it to Superettan 2018. Thanks for now Syrianska FC and Åtvidabergs FF and good luck in the lower division. Congratulations to IF Brommapojkarna, Dalkurd FF and Trelleborgs FF for the place in Allsvenskan 2018 and good luck in Superettan 2018 to Jönköping Södra IF, Halmstad BK and to AFC Eskilstuna.
