Integrity

Integrity is important to us. Together we take responsibility for and train in Values, Anti-match fixing, Mental health and Gambling responsibility / addiction.

Anti match fixing:
Swedish Professional Football Leauges has since 2016 been actively working with anti match-fixing. Match-fixing is a serious threat to the credibility of sport. Therefore, Swedish Professional Football Leagues sees it as very important to inform about the risks surrounding this.

The former elite player Anders Wikström is employed at Swedish Professional Football Leagues to work with league integrity and anti-match fixing. Anders has visited all SEF clubs and their academies to talk about gaming responsibilities and the risks of match-fixing.

In the education, all players and leaders are told that they are not allowed to do betting or gambling in their own matches or matches in the league and that it is a duty to register if you are contacted and offered to help fix a match.

Swedish Professional Football Leagues is concerned about organized crime and how it tries to interfere in sports and football. We see it as an attack on football and would like to say that when it comes to match-fixing, we are a victim of crime.

Football can not act in the judiciary, but Swedish Professional Football Leagues cooperates as much as we can with the police in the matter. The Swedish Football Association is the football authority, not Swedish Professional Football Leagues. The police and the judiciary have a responsibility to ensure that the criminals who are arrested are also prosecuted.

The clubs work hard with the safety of the players and their visitors in connection with the match but can not be held responsible for the players’ spare time. Swedish Professional Football Leagues educates and supports the member clubs and can help the clubs in their contacts with the police.

Mental Health:
There are players and leaders who do not feel well in their everyday lives and we want to be able to offer them a help to find their way back to themselves.

Gambling responsibility / addiction:
The former elite player Anders Wikström is employed at Swedish Professional Football Leagues to work with league integrity and anti-match fixing. Anders has visited all SEF clubs and their academies to talk about gaming responsibilities and the risks of match-fixing.

In the education, all players and leaders are told that they are not allowed to do betting or gambling in their own matches or matches in the league
