Supporter collaboration

The Swedish Professional Football Leagues and the Swedish Football Supporters Union (SFSU) have in a unique joint venture taken the next step in the development of Swedish club football by creating the best supporter collaboration in Europe. The two top leagues, Allsvenskan and Superettan, belong to the people and we want to continue to develop Swedish club football together. This with a focus on the supporters, who are the key content creators of the atmosphere on Swedish football stadiums.

Club football in Sweden has already taken great strides forward and continues to be widely spoken about, both for the performances on the pitch, but perhaps even more so for the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the pitch. For five consecutive seasons, Allsvenskan has attracted over two million spectators to Swedish stadiums and together with Superettan, the total figure reaches above 2.5 million spectators annually. Internationally, Swedish club football is lauded and known for the great atmosphere in the stadiums across the country, and the atmosphere created in our stadiums is considered to be at world-class level. Back in 2019, the German Bundesliga invited representatives of the Swedish Professional Football Leaguesto Germany to learn more about our supporter collaboration.

However, the Swedish Professional Football Leagues acknowledges that still some disturbances in our stadiums occur and there are continuous challenges to be dealt with. Each incident is handled with utmost seriousness, since we do not accept any disturbances that could jeopardise the stadium safety at all. We believe that long-term collaboration with our supporter groups is the right way forward in order to ensure the safety and security of our events and to safeguard and maintain our great atmosphere.
