In 2020 the Swedish two top tiers enter their fourth consecutive season with a league ball from SELECT Sports. Just like previous years we are presenting the new look for the next season at this time a year. The 2020 season will be played with a white ball with dark blue elements.
”The 2020 design has a modern form. The white background and the dark contrasts gets a good visibility on the ball”, says Richard Kjell, Country Sales Manager at SELECT Sport Sweden.
SELECT Sports started to deliver the league ball back in the 2017 season. In the first year, a total of 1351 goals were scored in 480 games in Allsvenskan and Superettan together. In 2018 the ball changed color to yellow and then 1346 goals were made with that league ball. 2019 1242 goals have been scored so far with the ball.
In 2020, Allsvenskan and Superettan will continue with a white ball, this time with dark blue elements.

The official league ball began to be used by all teams in Allsvenskan and Superettan from the 2017 season and will initially be used for a total of four years. The ball is manufactured and delivered by SELECT Sports.
SELECT Sports has previously provided official league balls to ten other European leagues, including the Danish Alka Superliga since 2015, the Belgian Jupiter League since 2010 also to the German Bundesliga and to the Dutch Eredivise, under the name Derbystar, since 2006.
In 2019, 618 goals have been scored so far in Allsvenskan and 624 goals in Superettan. This means there is an average of 2.66 and 2.69 goals per match in the leagues.
