Today, the Government of Sweden released the report from the investigation initiated by the politicians to propose measures aimed at reducing violence and other disturbances at football matches and other sporting events.
Swedish Professional Football Leagues (Svensk Elitfotboll) has been part of the expert group that the government’s investigator, Anders Hübinette, has had at his disposal, and has also, together with some of the clubs, been part of the investigation’s reference group.
In general, Swedish Professional Football Leagues believes that the exclusion strategy continues to be the right approach and that any measures that can facilitate the clubs’ work with the exclusion strategy — such as expanded rights to access camera footage — are positive.
Swedish Professional Football Leagues, together with its 32 clubs, will now delve into the details of the report, which will be circulated for consultation over the summer.
