2024 Allsvenskan turns 100 years old. SELECT is celebrating by producing a league ball with blue and yellow elements for both the Allsvenskan and the Superettan. The logo for Allsvenskan 100 years can also be found on the ball.
“Next year’s league ball has a clear connection between the Swedish flag and the Allsvenskan and the Superettan, which fits nicely when the Allsvenskan turns 100 years old”, says Richard Kjell, Country Sales Manager at Svenska SELECT Sport AB.
The Allsvenskan 100-year anniversary will be noticed continuously throughout 2024. The league ball for the Allsvenskan and the Superettan is one of all places where it will be clearly evident that it is an anniversary year.
“The league ball is perhaps the most natural place to draw attention to the fact that the Allsvenskan is turning 100 years old. The ball is a central part of the game and always in focus. We are very satisfied with the way that SELECT chooses to celebrate our history together with us”, says Johan Lindvall, general secretary of Swedish Professional Football League.
The league ball from SELECT began to be used before the 2017 season for the first time. 2024 will be the eighth straight season with an official league ball for both Allsvenskan and Superettan. The current agreement runs through the 2028 season.
In 2023, 665 goals were scored in the Allsvenskan and 673 in the Superettan with SELECT’s league ball. A total of 1338 goals for both series and an average of 2.78 goals per game.
The league ball 2023 is available for sale in stores starting with the Christmas sale this year.

SELECT and their subsidiary Derbystar already provide official league balls to eleven other European leagues, including the German Bundesliga, Dutch Eredivisie, Danish Superliga and Norwegian Eliteserien.
