Staff from Swedish Professional Football Leagues recently visited Allsvenskan and Superettan’s TV rights holder, Warner Bros. Discovery, to discuss shared challenges ahead of the season and to address the current security situation.

“We always have a small kickoff meeting with our TV rights holder before the season, and this time it aligned well with Discovery’s own kickoff,” says Per Eliasson, Head of Security at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.

Around 30 people from Warner Bros. Discovery’s Allsvenskan and Superettan broadcasts were present in Stockholm, including TV commentators, experts, and studio staff.

“We took the opportunity to talk about the security situation ahead of the season, how we will work on it this year, and what we focus on in our communication. We also listened to the concerns of Discovery’s staff. It’s important to us that they feel safe at stadiums across the country. We also mentioned the 25th anniversary of Superettan,” says Robert Johansson, Communications Manager at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.

Allsvenskan and Superettan 2025 will kick off on the last weekend of March.
