For the fifth consecutive year, Allsvenskan reaches over two million visits in one single season. Something that has never happened before.
”This is a historic moment for Swedish elite football”, says Ola Rydén, League Manager at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.

This season, the two million limit was reached in round 28. The current total amount of spectators is 2 002 470. An average of 9,061 spectators per match.

”Off course we still try to attract even more spectators to our arenas, but we are very happy for this year’s increase”, says Ola Rydén and continues.

”We do not see any tendencies that interest will decrease in the coming years”.

If people continues to attend the games at the same rate as before, the 2019 spectator figure will land at around 2.2 million spectators, which is an increase of around 10% compared to 2018.

In Superettan, 358 498 people have visited the arenas. The average in Superettan is 1 632 spectators per match.

In total, Allsvenskan and Superettan are estimated to generate around 2.6 million visits during the season.
